Temporary Exhibition by LIQUIFER as part of Night of the Long Museums 2 October 2021
LIQUIFER were invited to show their work as part of the ‘Night of the Long Museums’ in Vienna. Museums throughout Austria and in parts of Slovenia, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Germany extend their opening hours on the same night for the 21st year. On Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., around 640 museums, galleries and cultural institutions presented their collections and exhibitions.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Franz Viehböck’s flight to the MIR space station, the Technical Museum in Vienna themed the night around Outer Space. The Technical Museum’s Outer Space night looked into the past as well as into the future of space travel and space research in Austria.
LIQUIFER presented previous and current projects from their portfolio of work allowing visitors to – pick up and examine the 3D-printed building system from Regolight; explore the interior and exterior of Rama, the mobile research laboratory as surface architecture applicable to the moon and Mars; and understand the dimensions and logic of the new International Habitation module for the lunar orbital platform.
