Since 2001, SPACE SPECIALS has been dedicated to sharing with the public a multitude of perspectives and ideas stemming from the fields of engineering, art, architecture, design, space science, commercial spaceflight, psychology, psychiatry and human factors.

Space Specials was funded by The Arts and Culture Division of the Federal Chancellery of Austria in 2007 and 2017 for the special mini-series on the Antarctic Biennale Expedition and is produced by Barbara Imhof and Niamh Shaw.
